Sights Located In Rose City Michigan

A tiny town in northwestern Michigan, called Rose City, is located in Ogemaw County. Shops are spotted throughout the town, carrying various merchandise, handcrafted items as well as general food. The best part about this city is the beautiful scenery that is visible everywhere.

While this town was founded by Allen S. Rose in 1875 it was not incorporated until 1905. Originally it was known as Churchill but eventually it was renamed after Allen Rose. Ultimately a railroad started to go through the town, which helped with its incorporation. Allen Rose was originally from New York City but he traveled to Michigan and decided to stay.

Most people here hold factory jobs, mainly in the plastics, machinery and auto part fields, but there is still a good percentage of people that work at the small shops throughout the city. The general age of people here is 44.6 and the number of people in the area is around 653.

Located less than three miles from here is a natural recreation Area. This area has many fantastic opportunities for adventure. You can do many things like boating, swimming, fishing, hunting, hiking, canoeing and cross-country skiing. This Recreation Area consists of 4,449 acres of wilderness. Sadly this area used to be nonpublic, but luckily the opportunity to make it public was seized and in 1963 the opportunity for all to enjoy it came true.

Would you love to feel the wind through your hair and the sun kissing your skin, while floating down the river in a boat or canoe? You could be calmly enjoying your free time, no work to worry about. This would be the perfect time to become one with nature.

There is also a great 70 acre lake. You can rent paddle boats so you can relax and enjoy the water. Say you are not one for nature? Then take a small 30 minute drive and go visit some local malls. If you do not feel like making the drive, then do not forget to check out the local shops in the city.

A great thing about this area is that it has several vehicle repair, collision, and paint businesses, or if you are in the market for a new or used car they offer that too! In the horrible event that something were to happen to your car while on vacation, you would have no trouble getting it fixed, and you could be back to enjoying your vacation again.

This city offers a bundle of different food choices. They have common restaurants that everyone knows, but what makes this area special is they have a lot of independent restaurants. These give you a great experience that you can't get anywhere else. If you are looking for a special experience, these would be the places to go.
